On Instagram and Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer posted pictures with his “pom,” his pet dog, Betty. Fans were asked to find a better pair.

Captain Shreyas Iyer of Delhi Capitals spends time at home, recovering from a shoulder injury he sustained in India during the ODI series of March against England. This gave him the chance to spend some good time not only with his family but also with his beloved Labrador Betty. On Thursday Iyer took to Instagram to upload photos with Betty, whom he described in his article as “my pom.” Delhi Capitals also posted the images on their handle on Twitter and wrote “Just grace your feed with the Pawfect Jodi.”

Saurashtra cricketer Dharmendrasinh Jadeja reacted with a heart emoji to Iyer’s photos, while actor Samaira Rao commented that it was ‘cute.’

Since the first ODI against England in Pune, Iyer has been out of action. He missed the rest of the ODI series as well as the first half of the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), now suspended due to the COVID-19 crisis.

In Iyer’s absence, Rishabh Pant led the Capitals. The DC was on the table when the tournament was indefinitely postponed after a series of cases inside the big bubble of the tournament, which included players and workers.

The tournament was stopped with 29 games, with the halfway point of the league stage just over the season.

Before the ODI competition, Iyer was impressive in the T20 International series (T20I) against England despite playing lower than average.

Iyer recently posted a video showing his recovery, which prompted fans to wish their return to Sri Lanka when they visited Sri Lanka for three T20Is and as many ODIs in July.
