In the 2022 season, Ravindra Jadeja was named Chennai’s captain; however, due to his poor play and the team’s poor performance, the captaincy was returned to Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

After the Chennai Super Kings announced on Tuesday that they had signed all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as one of their IPL 2023 players, all rumors of a dispute between the two parties were put to rest. In the 2022 season, Mahendra Singh Dhoni took over as captain of Chennai after Mahendra Singh Jadeja’s poor performance and the team’s dismal performance. Before CSK was eliminated from the playoff race, Jadeja was later forced to withdraw from the tournament due to an injury sustained mid-season.

There were rumors that things weren’t going well between the four-time IPL champions and the Indian all-rounder. For the IPL 2023, Chennai decided to keep Jadeja in the lineup.

After the announcement, Jadeja shared a photo of herself with MS Dhoni on Twitter along with a hilarious caption, which quickly went viral.

The former captain of Chennai tweeted, “Everything is fine. #RESTART.”

Prior to this, CSK had also posted a humorous message regarding Jadeja’s retention. CSK had tweeted, “Eighth Wonder To Stay With Us.”

In terms of the departures, CSK legend Dwayne Bravo left the team along with players like Chris Jordan and Robin Uthappa as the four-time champions looked to the future.
