Gujarat Titans have signed Rahul Tewatia for the IPL 2022 auction.

All-rounder Rahul Tewatia was purchased by Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 auction on Saturday for INR 9 crore.

Rahul Tewatia, an Indian all-rounder, was purchased by Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) super auction on Saturday for Rs 9 crore. For Rs.3.8 crore, Punjab Kings purchased Harpreet Brar, an all-rounder, after an intense bidding war against GT. Shahbaz Ahamad, on the other side, was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 2.4 crore. There was a bidding war between Chennai Super Kings and GT for Tewatia (CSK). Kamlesh Nagarkoti, an all-rounder, was signed by Delhi Capitals for a fee of Rs 40 Lakhs.

For Rs 9 crore, Punjab Kings acquired India all-rounder, Shahrukh Khan, while Kolkata Knight Riders purchased pacer Shivam Mavi.

In the past, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) paid Rs 14 crore for bowler Deepak Chahar to join their team. T Natarajan was purchased by SunRisers Hyderabad for Rs 4 crore, but Umesh Yadav remained on the market. Delhi Capitals paid Rs 10.75 crore for Shardul Thakur.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) acquired Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga for Rs 10.75 crore, while SunRisers Hyderabad acquired India all-rounder Washington Sundar for Rs 8.75 crore. The Delhi Capitals acquired Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh for Rs 6.5 crore after receiving interest from a slew of teams.

Earlier in the auction, Punjab Kings purchased India opener, Shikhar Dhawan, for $8.25 million. Rs 5 crore was spent on Ravichandran Ashwin by the Rajasthan Royals. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) acquired Australia Test skipper Pat Cummins for Rs 7.25 crore.

Punjab Kings paid Rs 9.25 crore for Proteas pacer Kagiso Rabada. Rajasthan Royals acquired New Zealand bowler Trent Boult from the Kiwis for Rs 8 crore. KKR paid Rs 12.25 crore for Shreyas Iyer. Mohammad Shami was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 6.25 crore.

In a deal for Rs 7 crore, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) acquired South Africa batsman Faf du Plessis. Quinton de Kock was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 6.75 crore. Delhi Capitals signed David Warner from Australia for a fee of Rs 6.25 crore.
