In a local T20 game in Dhaka, Shakib Al Hasan had a disagreement with the umpires.

As a result, Shakib Al Hasan’s wife wrote a lengthy Facebook post, saying that people are trying to make him look like a “villain.”

Shakib Al Hasan’s wife, Sakib Ummey Al Hasan, made a rather stern statement regarding the controversial incidents that have occurred in the Bangladesh Premier League involving her husband on Friday. She let it be known that there might be a plot against her husband and that Shakib might end up as the villain. In any case, she wrote, “Finally, some news on TV! A great thing to see is the support that this brave person (or persons) is getting from those who can see a clear picture of today’s event. Despite this, it is unfortunate to see the main issue getting lost under the media’s focus on his rage. The most important problem is the continually visible decisions of the umpires. I can’t believe the headlines. My personal opinion is that it is an attack on him that has been going on for some time now to make him look like the villain in all cases. Cricket fans beware!”

Shakib Al Hasan’s wife came to the team’s defense as well, helping her husband in the stands by uprooting and kicking the stumps, and they were seen arguing with the on-field umpires over who was responsible for the incorrect call in favor of their team, Mohammedan Sporting Club, who was playing against Abahani Limited at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Following the unrest that had occurred in the middle, Shakib issued an apology via his Facebook account, where he regretfully apologized for what had happened.

On the first occasion, Shakib lost his temper after an unsuccessful appeal by the umpire was turned down. Shakib kicked the stumps because of his anger at the decision.

When the game was halted after five overs due to rain, Shakib uprooted the stumps and proceeded to throw them to the ground, raging against the umpire for calling the game off.
