In England’s first match of the Test series against India, Virat Kohli reached a major milestone in his career when he surpassed Sourav Ganguly’s record as the fastest batsman to score 23,000 runs in international cricket.
Virat Kohli broke the record for the fastest time to 23,000 international runs on Thursday, supplanting Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting. In the first session of the fourth Test match at The Oval, Kohli accomplished the accomplishment in the 490th inning. Only seven players have hit 23,000 runs in the history of cricket.
