Hafeez has been replaced by Iftikhar Ahmed, a right-arm off-spinner, according to a Pakistan Cricket Board statement.
Though he’s appeared in 13 T20 Internationals for Pakistan, Ahmed was not given a World Cup call-up.
Dhaka will host the three T20Is on November 19, 20, and 22.
Chattogram (November 26-30) and Dhaka (November 30) will host the two tests (December 4-8). There will be a Test squad announcement at a later date.
They include Shahnawaz Dahani (fast bowler) and Usman Qadir (leg-spinner), who were both reserves at T20 World Cup in UAE.
Batsmen Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, and Khushdil Shah make up Pakistan’s T20I squad for the upcoming series against India.
