Suryakumar Yadav had an answer to the “isolated” rehab of Shreyas Iyer and made for a great view.
Recovering from a shoulder injury, India’s Shreyas Iyer began rehabilitation following successful surgery last month. Saturday Iyer posted a social media video that shows a slight upswing in his latest fitness update after he lost part of the Indian ODI series against England and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in March-April. Suryakumar Yadav from Iyer’s India Teammate posted a nasty comment on the video: “Shahenshah’s operating technique.”
Iyer subluxed his left shoulder during the first ODI in March this year between India and England.
Iyer worked indoors in another video he shared on social media after his surgery. Iyer said, “Work in progress.”
Iyer could be flying to Sri Lanka when India visits the country for a limited series if he recovers on time.
India is scheduled to play 3 ODIs in Sri Lanka and 3 T20Is in July. The squad for that tour possibly would not include the players chosen for the test team for the tour of the United Kingdom from June to September.
India will be playing New Zealand in Southampton’s World Test Championship final from 18 June. Following this will be a five-game test series against England from 4 August.
Iyer scored 813 ODI runs at 42.78 with 1 and 8 half-centuries. It has 550 T20I at 28.94 and a strike rate of 133.81 with 350 years.
