India defeated the Netherlands by 56 runs thanks to half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.

In their second Super 12 encounter of the 2017 T20 World Cup, India smashed the Netherlands by 56 runs, with Virat Kohli once again playing at the top of his form. By hitting his second consecutive fifty in the competition, Kohli helped India win handily. He continued his perfect start to the competition with a score of 62* from 44 balls after smashing an undefeated 82 against Pakistan in their opening game last week in Melbourne. However, Suryakumar Yadav, who hit an unbeaten 51 in 25 balls, received the Player of the Match Award. They shared a 95-run third-wicket partnership. Their friendship could be shown off the court as well.

After the game, Kohli posted pictures from the game on social media with an inspiring remark.

Another solid outcome, Kohli wrote on Instagram.

The tweet was responded to by Suryakumar with the word “SurVIR.” It made reference to the first letter of both of their names. As a result of his admiration, Kohli responded, “Hahahaha Maanla Bhau (good one brother)”

Along with Kohli, the captain Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav both reached the fifty-run mark.

In his 144th game, Rohit reached his 29th T20 half-century, smashing four sixes in the process. He did admit, though, that he wasn’t entirely pleased with his knock. “I considered it a convincing victory. The pressure is much greater when you are predicted to succeed. For us, this was a close to ideal game “Rohit stated.

“Yes, we started off a little slow, but as Virat and I discussed, we had to wait on that surface to play the big shots. Not too satisfied with my fifty, but the most essential thing is to get runs, regardless of how attractive they are.”
