India vs England: Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh was spotted in the stand on the first day of the second Test match between India and England.

Rohit Sharma took to Twitter on Saturday to share a photo of himself and his daughter Samaira, rubbing a little on his and Ritika’s “sore fingers” after the first day’s play ended in Chennai. Ritika was seen sitting in the stand with her fingers, as Rohit scored his seventh Test century. The cricketer’s tweet on the social media platform read, “The fingers look fine. Sammy and I rubbed a little on the sore fingers.”

Soon after Rohit posted the picture, fans flooded Twitter with heart-touching messages for the Indian batsman.

Rohit scored 161 runs for 231 runs on the opening day of the second Test after Team India captain Virat Kohli decided to win the toss and bat. The innings began after Shubman Gill was dismissed for duck by Alli Stone. The 33-year-old opener shared an 85-run partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara, losing his wicket later.

Captain Virat Kohli was dismissed for zero, but Rohit bounced back to India with a 162-run partnership with Ajinkya Rahane.

The 33-year-old batsman was eventually dismissed after Jack Leach was caught by Moin Ali.

Team India ended the first day on 300/6 in 88 overs, with Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel at the crease with the batsmen.
