Rohit Sharma, India’s limited-overs captain, sent his best wishes to former spinner Harbhajan Singh, who has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Indian cricket spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who led the side to the 50-over World Cup and the first T20 World Cup victory under the leadership of MS Dhoni, announced his retirement on Friday through a social media post. What a competitor!!!” Rohit wrote. Have a wonderful retirement Bhajju pa, you’ve had an amazing career. @harbhajan Singh, I’ll be waiting for you on the other side.”
According to Harbhajan, the decision was made after careful consideration of all of the facts.
Once in a while, it’s necessary to make difficult decisions and move on. I’ve wanted to make big news for a while now, and I’ve been waiting for the appropriate time to do so. I have decided to withdraw from all forms of cricket as of today. “In my mind, I had already retired, but I couldn’t publicly proclaim it,”
His decision to hang up his cricket boots during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season was a decision he couldn’t make public because of his commitment to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise, he said.
Even though I haven’t been playing cricket for a while, I decided to continue with Kolkata Knight Riders for the IPL (2021) season because of my long-term commitment.” However, by the end of the season, he had already decided to hang up his cleats.
Harbhajan played 103 Tests and 236 ODIs for India during his career. Spinner also appeared in 28 Twenty20 Internationals for India.
