On Day 3 of the Oval Test, Rohit Sharma hammered Moeen Ali for six to earn his maiden overseas Test hundred.

On Saturday, Rohit Sharma scored his first overseas Test century as India cruised past England at the Oval. On Day 3 of the ongoing fourth Test, the veteran batsman reached the milestone. The visitors lead by nearly 100 runs. In the 64th over, he hit a Moeen Ali delivery for six, his first overseas Test tonne. Rohit’s eighth Test century, all at home.

The 34-year-old blasted 12 fours and a six in his maiden overseas Test century. Over 3000 Test runs.

In the final session of Day 2, he joined KL Rahul. On Day 3, he attained his personal milestone against India’s third batsman Cheteshwar Pujara. He has over 100 runs alongside Pujara.

In India’s opening innings of the current Test, Kohli made 11 runs as the visitors amassed 191. Ollie Pope and Chris Woakes were superb in helping the hosts score 290 runs for a 99-run lead. But India rallied in the second innings, with Pujara scoring a half-century.

The series is now 1-1, with England winning by an innings and 76 runs. Both teams will be hoping to win at The Oval and advance to the penultimate match.
