As with the last time, the BCB has taken precautions in England to ensure that the cricketers get their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccines under the supervision of the UK government’s Department of Health.

“The team took the first dose in this location following the government’s decision to allow vaccinations for all above age 18. Once the players are eligible to receive the second injection, the UK health department will administer the second dose “According to BCCI sources, ANI reported.

BCCI has developed a foolproof plan for the national team ahead of departure for the UK, as well as prior to the players assembling in Mumbai on May 19, where three RT-PCR tests are going to be performed on all of the players.

Next, the team will spend another 10 days in the UK in quarantine. The team will endure a rigorous quarantine before they are allowed to use the practice field to prepare for the London 2012 gold-medal match against New Zealand in Southampton, which is set to begin on June 18th.

The New Zealand national team arrived in the UK ahead of their series against England, which starts on June 16. During the time of the ECB/WTC Bilateral Series, the team will pass through an ECB-sanctioned bio-secure environment, where they will be subject to testing at fixed and random intervals prior to and after arrival in Southampton.
