India, the defending champions, will play England at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on September 30, followed by a match against the Netherlands in Thiruvananthapuram on October 3.

Before the first match of the World Cup, between New Zealand and England, in Ahmedabad on October 5, official warm-up games for all 10 nations will be played in Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad.

The ICC announced that the 10 participating countries would play two official 50-over encounters in three different places throughout India in the week preceding the October 5 kickoff of the World Cup.

Between September 29 and October 3, “the matches will be held in Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram, giving teams ample time to acclimatize to the conditions they are expected to face at the World Cup.” The preliminary round’s matches will all begin in the afternoon.

The ICC has announced that all matches will begin at 2:00 pm IST, adding that each team is permitted to use their entire 15-man roster.

The matches between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Guwahati, South Africa and Afghanistan in Thiruvananthapuram, and New Zealand and Pakistan in Hyderabad are set for September 29.

Matches in Guwahati (India vs. England) and Thiruvananthapuram (Australia vs. Netherlands) on September 30.

Matches on October 2 feature New Zealand vs. South Africa in Thiruvananthapuram and England against Bangladesh in Guwahati.

On October 3, Australia will play Pakistan in Hyderabad, while Afghanistan will travel to Guwahati to take on Sri Lanka.
