Border-Gavaskar trophy after winning series 2-1 against Australia.

Australia’s ‘Baggy Greens’ were dealt a crushing defeat by India in Brisbane in the fourth and final Test of the series, which India won by three wickets.

With a three-wicket victory over the ‘Baggy Greens’ in Brisbane in the series’ final Test, India won the series 3-0 in Australia at the start of 2021. In Australia, it was India’s second consecutive series win. However, this win was unique in that it happened against all the odds. Earlier, in the first Test, India had been humiliated by the hosts, who bowled them out for 36 runs in the second innings at Adelaide to take the series lead.

With Virat Kohli returning home on paternity leave, few anticipated the squad to come back from that humiliating defeat. However, in the second Test in Melbourne, stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane produced an innings of a lifetime, laying the groundwork for a great comeback victory.

Indian batsmen like Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant, as well as Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari, saved the match in the third Test in Sydney.

Many of India’s first-team players were unavailable for the last Test in Brisbane, which Australia had not won in more than three decades, due to injuries.

However, the young team led by Rahane fought valiantly, and India’s memorable win came thanks to a fourth innings classic from Pant’s blade.

Wasim Jaffer, a former opener for India, tweeted footage from the upcoming documentary on that victory with a remark in his usual sarcastic way.

“When you’re with other people, you’re going to need a lot of Gabba Gabba to get you through the day. Isn’t that what you were hoping for, @neerajpofficial? Isn’t that what you were hoping for? “Jaffer made a tweet about it.

Gabba Gabba karne walo ko yaad dila diye the abba.

As a showcase of India’s depth and a testament to the virtues of resilience and persistence in the face of adversity, the triumph was a great boost for Indian cricket.
