Rohit Sharma has been an integral part of Mumbai Indians’ success since the team’s first title in 2013.
Rohit named the cricketer who has served as an inspiration to him as he pursues a career in cricket.
“Sachin Tendulkar has always been a source of inspiration for me. The first time I became aware of him and his achievements were when I was about eight or nine years old. I don’t believe everyone can play cricket at a high level. Since then he has been able to carry the full weight of his team’s success on his shoulders. “I’ve always been fascinated by what he’s accomplished and how he’s acted both on and off the field, so he’s the one for me. The most notable aspect of his character is his humility, which extends beyond his game of cricket to his personal life as well. Having played for the Mumbai Indians from 2008 till his retirement, Tendulkar remains an integral member of the team’s coaching staff.
