Anil Kumble
Anil Kumble said Uttarakhand players will miss out on Wasim Jaffer's mentorship.

Anil Kumble tweeted in support of Wasim Jaffer following allegations of adopting a communal outlook during his tenure as coach of Uttarakhand.

Former India captain and coach Anil Kumble patted his back for Wasim Jaffer after speaking out against allegations of adopting a communal outlook during his tenure as Uttarakhand coach. After leaving the post as coach of Uttarakhand a week ago citing the intervention of the State Cricket Board by Jaffer, the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) officials accused Jaffer of being communal, which the former India opener Repeatedly rejected. Responding to a tweet by Jafar defending himself, Anil Kumble wrote “With You Wasim. Did the right thing. Unfortunately, it is the players who will miss your mentorship.”

In his tweet, Jafar gave some clarifications about the allegations leveled against him.

Suspended Congress leader Sanjay Jha had earlier tweeted a nap asking if the names of Indian cricket chiefs including Kumble would tweet in support of the row, as he did last week about farmers’ protests.

“Will you all please speak for Wasim Jafar? If you need any kind of help, I will draft a tweet for you, which you can copy-paste. Your action needs to be public on Twitter, Like during protests at the farm. I wait. ” Your response, “he wrote tagging Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma besides Kumble.

Anil Kumble and Wasim Jaffer, apart from playing together for India, currently co-operate with Kings XI Punjab. While the legendary spinner led by KL Rahul is the head coach, Jaffer is the batting coach for him.
