After a player’s inappropriate behavior with a female fan, Delhi Capitals instituted a rigorous “Code of Conduct” for its cricketers.
Delhi Capitals, a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has instituted a “Code of Conduct” for its cricketers after an incident between one of the players and a woman at a franchise party. According to NDTV’s source, all of the cricket players and their support staff were subject to the new regulations. Codes enacted for the “maintenance of the franchise’s public image” said that all cricket players were forbidden from bringing acquaintances to their rooms after 10 p.m. and that any meetings with strangers would have to take place in the team hotel.
According to The Indian Express, all players for the Delhi Capitals must notify any official from the team before leaving the hotel for any meeting. Players who violate the code may be subject to severe punishments, including immediate contract termination at the discretion of the team.
After the game between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, the regulations were issued.
At the moment, all cricketers’ significant others are welcome, but they must pay for their own transport. When the cricket team is on the road, they share a hotel room with them. IPL rules state that players must now notify the team integrity officer in advance of any visitor staying in their rooms and provide photo identification to the team’s administration.
With only four points after seven games, Delhi Capitals are at the bottom of the IPL 2023 standings. Both Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad were defeated by them during the competition.
