Australia’s hopes of reaching the World Test Championship final were bolstered by their 3-0 victory over India in the series.

The Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, dropped the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to Australia in Indore on Friday. India lost by nine wickets on a rank turner because their batters, with the exception of Cheteshwar Pujara and Shreyas Iyer, were unable to produce a tenacious performance. After this victory, Australia has advanced to the last round of the World Test Championship, while India’s chances have been somewhat diminished. If they want to increase their prospects of qualifying without having to rely on the results of other teams, they need to win the fourth Test.

Thereafter, former Australian captain, Ian Chappell claimed that Hardik Pandya should have been included in the Test series.

Chappell expressed his confusion to ESPNCricinfo on the absence of Hardik Pandya from the Indian lineup. “A lot of people have told me that he just can’t bowl that well. But then, are you conversing with cricket fans or medical professionals? Pandya should join the Indian team if he is serious about playing. He can hit the ball far, bowl reasonably well, and field with the best of them.”

“Cameron Green was vital to Australia striking the correct balance. Hardik Pandya is crucial for India “As Chappell mentioned.

Despite being India’s regular T20I captain, Pandya has not played in a Test match since 2018. Hardik has batted 532 times and bowled 17 times in 11 Tests.

Nonetheless, Rohit Sharma has stated that the attention should be placed on the players’ efforts rather than the state of the field.

“As for the pitch, I have nothing to worry about. This sales talk is starting to wear thin. All eyes are on the field whenever we play in India. I don’t know why nobody wants to talk to me about Nathan Lyon. Well, he bowled well, (Cheteshwar) Pujara batted brilliantly in the second innings, and Usman Khawaja was superb. If you ask me about those things, I can give you specifics; the pitch isn’t one of them, though, since I don’t think it’s necessary “at his post-Indore Test news conference, India’s captain made the following statement.
