SL vs. IND: Shikhar Dhawan made his fiestas after winning the 3rd ODI Toss.

Sri Lanka against India: After winning the toss in the 3rd ODI, Shikhar Dhawan brought out his iconic ‘high-five celebration.

Shikhar Dhawan, India’s stand-in captain on the Sri Lankan white-ball tour, is a natural pitch entertainer, celebrating with a thigh after catching and acquiring an iconic position among spectators. Dhawan has now decided to bring his entertainment factor to the job of Captain even as he celebrated a ‘high-five win in the 3rd ODI. Dhawan missed the gun on the 1st and 2nd International Day against Sri Lanka on both occasions, but ultimately broke the gin when he came out at the 3rd and final ODIs at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Dhawan looked up to the dugout immediately after winning the toss and knocked his thigh in delight before choosing to knock.

India made six changes and gave ODI debuts to five players. The last ODI was also granted to Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Krishnappa Gowthan, Rahul Chahar, and Chetan Sakarija, while Navdeep Saini and Ishan Kishan, Krunal Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Deepak Chahar, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were also on the line.

The match was stopped due to the rain and the Indian team was in trouble before the rain. India lost its top three after the opening powerplay got off to a terrific start. For the second wicket, Prithvi Shaw and Sanju Samson stood for 74 runs.

After the game had begun, Sri Lanka’s spinners placed their hosts in control as India fell between 157/3 and 195/8.

Rahul Chahar and Navdeep Saini set up 29 rearguards, but the former fell into Chamika Karunaratne’s short ball.

Then Dushmantha Chameera had Navdeep Saini’s wicket for 225 to bowl India.

Akila Dhananjaya and Praveen Jayawickrama finished with three apiece wickets.

India has won the first two ODIs and has an unsurpassable 2-0 lead.

Following the ODI series, the two teams will face each other in a three-game T20I series from 25 July.
