Following a three-match ODI series in Ahmedabad on February 6, 9, and 11, India will play the West Indies in three T20Is in Kolkata on February 16, 18, and 20. Pollard has already been picked to the West Indies one-day team.

The West Indies have picked a 16-man squad for the forthcoming three-match T20I series in India, which begins on February 16, captained by Kieron Pollard. Following a three-match ODI series in Ahmedabad on February 6, 9, and 11, three Twenty20 Internationals will be held in Kolkata on February 16, 18, and 20. Under Pollard, the West Indies have already announced their one-day international team.

The limited-overs squads each include eleven players: Pollard, Allen, and Bravo; Holder and Shai; Hosein and Hosein; King and Pooran; Shepherd and Romario; Shepherd and Odean; Smith and Walsh Jr.

Shimron Hetmyer was once again omitted from the starting lineup due to his lack of fitness. In a recent interview, West Indies head coach Phil Simmons stated his displeasure with Hetmyer’s stance on physical preparation.

In the Betway T20I Series against England in Barbados, we opted to remain with the same core of players because of their performance. Desmond Haynes, the top selector, expects the same level of performance from the players on the trip to India.

Even after a weird episode in which he was accused of being “victimized” for being left out of England’s third T20I in favor of Rovman Powell, all-rounder Odean Smith was named to the squad following the match.

The charges were made in a voice message that was forwarded to the media, but the identity of the sender has not yet been established. In a statement, Simmons and Cricket West Indies president Ricky Skerritt slammed the charges, calling them “a vicious attack on the West Indies captain, meant to sow division within our team”.

The five-match T20I series between the West Indies and England was won by the Windies 3-2.

The T20I team for the India series was announced this weekend by West Indies.

Fabian Allen, Darren Bravo, Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell, Dominic Drakes, Jason Holder, and Shai Hope are all included in the West Indies T20I squad alongside Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, and Fabian Allen.
