Samantha Stafanie
Samantha Stafanie Taylor has emerged as the world's top-ranked batter and all-rounder, with the ICC making her the No. 1 ODI batter and all-rounder.

The number one ranked ODI batter in the world is now Stafanie Taylor, who displaced India’s Mithali Raj to claim the top spot. In ODI cricket, Taylor has now moved up to the No. 1 spot as the top all-rounder.

The number one position in batting as well as in the list of all-rounders in the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings was reclaimed by West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor following a brilliant effort in the first ODI in Coolidge. As a result of Taylor’s 3 for 29 and an unbeaten 105, she has gone up on all three of the following lists. She moved up four places in the batting ladder, displacing India skipper Mithali Raj and climbing to 16th position. She has also gained three places and now sits in 16th place among bowlers, pushing Ellyse Perry of Australia down to first among all-rounders.

Taylor achieved the top spot among batters in three distinct rankings, once in March 2012, and last in November 2014. She was ranked number one among all all-rounders in July 2017.

Also included in the report is the return of all-rounder Deandra Dottin, who has moved up one spot to 28th among hitters and to 47th among all-rounders.

Shamilia Connell (up to four places to 39th) and spinner Anisa Mohammed (up to two places to 26th) have both gone up among bowlers, and Kyshona Knight is currently ranked seven spots higher, sitting at 53rd among batters.

Nida Dar has moved up three places, while Diana Baig has improved one spot to reach 32nd.

Ayesha Zafar has made a comeback in the batting rankings, entering the field in 83rd place after a pair of scores of 46 and four in the two matches, and opener Muneeba Ali has now positioned 47 places higher in the standings, at 88th after putting up 36 and 37.

Natalie Sciver of England has moved up two places in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings, and Deepti Sharma of India has increased by two places to 37th.

For India, Poonam Yadav (who climbed up to six places to seventh) and Shikha Pandey (who increased her position to 27th) have gained the most in the bowlers’ list. Freya Davis, a player for England, gained two slots and is now ranked 64th.
