There was a glimpse of the first Test match venue through the BCCI’s Twitter feed.
The first Test between South Africa and India is set to begin on December 26.
The second and third tests will be placed on January 3 and 11, respectively.
The first Test match between India and South Africa, set to commence on December 26th, was given a sneak peek by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
South Africa will host India in a three-match Test match series beginning on December 26. During the first Test, the BCCI tweeted a picture of the Centurion SuperSport Park, the site of the first Indian-South African match. “Hello, SuperSport Park. #TeamIndia #SAvIND.” was the post’s caption. The Johannesburg Test will be held from January 3 to 7, 2022, following the first Test match. Cape Town, South Africa, will host the last Test from January 11 to 15.
The BCCI tweeted a video of the Indian team and support personnel working out and having fun earlier in the day on Saturday.
Captain Virat Kohli, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, bowler Ishant Sharma, and head coach Rahul Dravid all appeared in the video.
Outdoor activities included a game of “footvolley,” in which members of the team appeared to be in good spirits ahead of their first practice session in the upcoming Test series.
A left hamstring injury has kept Rohit Sharma out of India’s Test series, which he had been expected to replace Virat Kohli as vice-captain. According to the BCCI, Priyank Panchal has been named as a temporary substitute.
Johannesburg will host the second test from January 3-7, 2022, with Cape Town hosting the final match on January 11, 2022.
