India vs England: Axar Patel was in top form as the hosts won the second Test match by a big margin. However, Virat Kohli’s team leveled the series, but Kevin Pietersen won the game on social media.

India bounced back victorious by defeating England by 317 runs on Day 4 of the second Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. After equalizing the four-match series 1–1, the host received much praise on social media, but former England captain Kevin Pietersen had something else to say. The 40-year-old Vijay celebrated the victory by tweeting on behalf of Virat Kohli on Twitter. Congratulating India, Peterson wrote, “Badhai ho India, England b ko barangay and lies”.

Peterson’s comment was not well received by his fans on Twitter, with many trolling him for his opinion that the win was against “England B”.

A fan replied, “I can see the pain behind your smile. Next time don’t worry with your full strength, India will beat 2-1.”

Meanwhile, another fan wrote, “Oh come on KP!! A win is a win is a win.”

Here are the other reactions to his tweet:

Chasing a target of 482 runs, England were dismissed for 164 for 4 on the fourth day in the second innings. The visiting team’s batting order fell against Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin. Axar recorded five wickets in his debut Test match. He took the wickets of Dominic Sibley, Jack Leach, Joe Root, Ollie Pope and Ollie Stone.

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin built his fine form and took three wickets during England’s second innings.

The two sides face each other in the third Test match starting on 24 February. The hosts will look to build on their target and take the lead in the current series.
