The matchup between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2023 will be one for the ages. There has been much online activity between the two teams since their on-field altercation during their league-stage meeting earlier this month. After Naveen-ul-Haq’s Instagram posts, it’s clear that this rivalry isn’t going away anytime soon. But it’s not just the LSG pitcher’s tweet that has RCB supporters talking; it’s the entire franchise. The Faf du Plessis-led squad lost by six wickets to Gujarat Titans, and as a result, they did not advance to face LSG in the Eliminator match.

During the May 1 game between the Royal Challengers and the Super Giants, there were several fights that broke out on the pitch. Following Kohli’s verbal altercation with LSG pacer Naveen-Ul-Haq, home team coach Gautam Gambhir confronted Virat.

After this disagreement, RCB posted a video to social media showing a pumped-up Kohli reveling in his team’s historic win.

At the beginning of the clip, a pumped-up Kohli exclaims, “That’s a sweet win boys, sweet win, let’s go!” The RCB mainstay can be heard saying a few seconds into the clip, “If you can give it, you gotta take it.” If you can’t provide it, don’t.

Now that Kohli’s team has been eliminated from the tournament, LSG has adopted his farewell speech. To give? A taker? Let’s drop this. Brava, @RCBTweets! “Until next year,” LSG said in a tweet.

Kohli’s 61-ball 101 in RCB’s 197 for five looked like the best effort of the day, but Gill, who will carry the torch for Indian batting for the next decade, proved that he is superior.

Gill’s undefeated 104 off of 52 balls helped the Titans easily reach their target. Similarly to the former India captain, Gill has now scored two consecutive centuries.

The competition concluded with the Titans on top with 20 points, followed by CSK (17) and the Lucknow Super Giants (16) because of CSK’s superior net run rate. After beating SRH by eight wickets, Mumbai Indians regained 16 points and a spot in the playoffs.
