The PCB has set a vaccine clarification deadline until Thursday

After a series of COVID-19 cases in March, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was postponed. The tournament is expected to start in June and is scheduled to finish on 20 June.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and six franchise owners addressed the operational preparation and execution at a virtual session on Wednesday of the remaining 20 Pakistan Super League (PSL) events scheduled for 1-20 June in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Once all the possible scenarios were examined and analyzed, it was decided, by unanimity, to wait until the end of the business on Thursday (UAE time) before a final decision was taken on the hosting of the remaining matches.

In an official statement, PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan said: “In the online debate today, we updated the team owners to inform PCB that the PSL has been approved by the appropriate authorities within the UAE. However, some clarifications are still awaited on some exemption requests, which are anticipated at some point on Thursday.”

“Team owners decided that if we are not clarified by Thursday afternoon, then they would have no other choice but to recommend that the remaining 20 matches be postponed. In the meantime, the UAE government and the Emirates Cricket Board continue to cooperate as they are equally keen on the occasion of the UAE case, “He added that.

Earlier, the administration of Abu Dhabi nodded to accommodate the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) fittings in the Emirates.

It was however conditional on all participants being vaccinated against Covid-19, ESPNcricinfo reported. The PCB has been challenged by the involvement of teams and broadcasting crews from all over the world, and each country has its own vaccination procedure.

PSL 6 was postponed in March of this year after a series of COVID-19 events. The finals are scheduled for June 20 and are scheduled for June.
