India’s three-match Twenty20 International series against New Zealand will be the next opportunity for Chahal.

Yuzvendra Chahal believes that one spinner is head and shoulders above the rest at the T20 World Cup.

Many have questioned India’s removal of Yuzvendra Chahal from their T20 World Cup 2021 roster after he impressed during the IPL’s UAE leg. Varun Chakravarthy, Rahul Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja were India’s T20 World Cup spinners. Spinners, particularly wrist spinners, had a huge impact on Australia’s recent tournament victory. Wanindu Hasaranga and Adam Zampa were the top two wicket-takers in the competition. Chahal, on the other hand, believes that there is only one spinner in the world who is truly exceptional.

In terms of talent, Rashid Khan stands out. I think he’s a class above the rest, like Muralidharan sir or Shane Warne sir used to be. Mind games are my trademark. This is the only way I cook. He added in an interview with the Times of India, “I support whatever variances I have.

Chahal stated he felt “very horrible” and was “down for two-three days” after being excluded. But the support of his family and followers helped him get through the difficult period.

In four years, I had not been dropped and then I was dropped for such a high-profile event. I was shocked.” I was in such a horrible mood. A few days later, I was feeling better. However, I was aware that the IPL’s second round was still a ways off.

After that, I went back to my mentors and spent a lot of time with them. My family and friends were always there to support me. A steady stream of encouraging posts from my followers kept me going. That gave me hope. I made the decision to lean on my strengths and get out of this funk. Because it would have harmed my IPL form, I couldn’t sit there and mope around for very long,” the India spinner admitted.

The Indian team continued to use Varun Chakravarthy in the T20 World Cup, although he was unable to match his domestic tournament performances. Rahul Chahar played in one game, but he didn’t do much.

Team India’s outstanding spinner Ashwin was finally given a chance in the Super 12 round after being snubbed in their first two matches.

When it comes to New Zealand, the inclusion of Chahal in the upcoming T20I squad means that he’s back in contention.

On November 17, 19, and 21, India takes on New Zealand in three Twenty20 Internationals.
