He said he hopes to return to Chepauk and play one final game for the three-time IPL champions in Chennai before he leaves the team.

When asked about his future as a Chennai Super Kings player, former India captain MS Dhoni said he hopes to play one final game for the three-time IPL champions at Chepauk in Chennai. At one point, Dhoni, Deepak Chahar, Imran Tahir, and Shardul Thakur were all participating in a live chat with fans on CSK’s official YouTube page. On August 15, Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket, and one fan expressed her disappointment at missing the wicketkeeper-farewell batter’s match because of her work commitments.

Responding to this, Dhoni stated that he hoped to meet his fans and play one final game in Chennai.

“15th August is the best possible date. You can always come to see me play for CSK and that can be my farewell game when it comes to saying goodbye. You’ll still have the chance to say your goodbyes when the time comes. Ideally, we’ll visit Chennai for my final game, where I’ll be able to meet all of my fans “Dhoni made the statement while taking part in a live Q&A session on the CSK YouTube channel.

According to Dhoni’s statement, the veteran wicketkeeper-batter will most likely play for CSK in the upcoming IPL.

For the 11th time in the IPL, the 40-year-old captain has guided Chennai Super Kings to the playoffs.

Even if Dhoni’s numbers at the plate haven’t been great this year, his leadership skills are unmatched in the game today.

Last year’s CSK team, led by skipper MS Dhoni, finished in the bottom seven.
