The weather was beyond our control, but we did what we could. Our batting and bowling performance fell short of expectations. India won the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4s after Pakistan’s Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf didn’t bat throughout their chase.
In their Asia Cup Super Four match against arch-rivals Pakistan, India scored 356/2 because of a vintage performance from Virat Kohli and an unrestrained century from KL Rahul.
Half-centuries from captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill set the tone for India. Then an unbeaten 233-run partnership between Kohli and Rahul, capped off by a maximum from the former captain, provided the icing on the cake.
While Kohli batted for 94 deliveries and ended with an unbeaten 122, Rahul hammered 111 off 106.
