Virat Kohli has accepted Ravi Shastri’s “tracer bullet” challenge ahead of his record 100th Test match against Sri Lanka, which begins on March 4.

During their time in charge of Indian cricket, Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli forged a powerful relationship. The Test team’s dominance in Test cricket was so complete that they set new records for foreign conditions. This wouldn’t have been possible, however, if they hadn’t formed a deep bond off the field. The dreaded captain-coach duo was ultimately broken after the T20 World Cup in 2021 when Shastri stepped down. Both, on the other hand, make an effort to display their adoration and regard for one another whenever possible.

Shastri posted a video of Kohli taking the “tracer bullet” challenge ahead of the former Indian captain’s historic 100th Test appearance. One of Shastri’s favorite catchphrases during his stint as a cricket analyst was “tracer bullet.”

The following was the video’s caption:

“There are a hundred reasons to commemorate the 100th Test. We have had an amazing century. Ringside viewing was a real treat. @imVkohli #VK100… enjoy this one champ through the covers…”

When the curtain comes down on March 4, Kohli will be eagerly anticipating his 100th Test appearance in Mohali, India.

Many well-known cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, have sent their best wishes.
