Preity Zinta let out an animated reaction after buying Shahrukh Khan in IPL 2021 auction.

IPL Auction 2021: Preity Zinta could not hide her excitement as the Kings of Punjab on Thursday bought Tamil Nadu batsman Shah Rukh Khan in the IPL player auction for Rs 5.25 crore.

Punjab Kings auctioned the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the biggest purse of all the auctions. He fielded nine players to strengthen his team ahead of the 14th edition of the IPL. While he spent large sums to acquire the Australian Pace duo of Jhe Richardson and Riley Meredith, one of the highlights at the auction was when the Punjab Kings won the bid for Tamil Nadu batsman Shah Rukh Khan.

After getting stuck in Shah Rukh, Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta shouted in excitement, “We got Shahrukh” by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan, who was present at the auction for the IPL player.

In the IPL 2021 player auction, Punjab raised huge money on two Australian players who still want to play in the T20 league. Richardson was bought for Rs 14 crore, while his fellow Australian fast bowler Meredith received a deal for Rs 8 crore.

Punjab Kings also ranked Twenty20 international batsman Dawood Malan at number one for his base price of Rs 1.5 crore.

Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques will also play for Punjab in the upcoming edition of the franchise-based tournament as he gets Rs 4.2.

Punjab Kings also invested in West Indies all-rounder Fabian Allen and Indian uncapped players Jalaj Saxena, Saurabh Kumar, and Utkarsh Singh.
