The Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, believes his team will be trying to regain its “superiority” in the shortest format in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

In order to re-establish the Pakistani “superiority” in the shortest version of the game, Babar Azam, the Pakistan team captain, hopes to win the 2018 ICC T20 World Cup. To win the title for the second time in 2009, Pakistan will take on India at the Dubai International Stadium on October 24 in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Said Babar of the ICC, “Every single player is excited, driven, and passionate, and looking forward to this event as an opportunity to re-establish our supremacy in the shortest version of the game under favorable conditions.”

In Group 2 of the Super 12s, the Azam-led squad will meet New Zealand and Afghanistan, as well as two qualifiers from Round 1. The matches between New Zealand and Afghanistan will be played at the same site on October 27 and October 29, respectively.

Commenting on the PCB’s preparations for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup 2021, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates, Babar said: “We will use the period between home series against New Zealand and England in order to fine-tune our final outlook and play to win, and we will not only hope to leave with a win but also try to win as many games as possible so that we can carry that winning form and momentum to the UAE.”

After leading his country to victory in the Twenty20 World Cup, the Pakistan captain is “focused” on encouraging the team with his play.

“Personally, this will be my first International Championships for Pakistan as the captain. As a player, I was successful in the 2017 Champions Trophy, but I was eliminated from the 2019 World Cup in the semi-finals by a little margin, after our matches against the two finalists went to double-overtime “Babar stated, “

He went on to say, “I remain focused on inspiring my side with my performances, which is what will help us break Pakistan’s streak of never having won an ICC tournament in Asia.”

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 will commence on October 17 in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, and the championship game will be contested in Dubai on November 14.
