New Zealand vs Bangladesh: Trent Boult put New Zealand on top and gave New Zealand a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. After winning the Player of the Match award, the bowler also donated $ 500 to his home club.

Seamer Trent Boult, who laid the foundation for New Zealand’s win by four wickets in the first ODI against Bangladesh, donated $ 500 to his hometown club Ottomatai Cadets on Saturday. Bolt took New Zealand by four wickets and defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets in the opening game. After the hosts bowled out for 131 runs in the first ODI, the Kiwi team took just 21.2 overs to stop the game after the hosts bowled runs. Bolt claimed Player of the Match honors after bowling figures of 4/27 in the opening game and donated the prize money to his home club.

Chasing a fine total of 132 runs, Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls shared a 54-run stand for the first wicket within six overs to demolish Bangladesh’s bowling. Taskeen Ahmed gave the visitors the first breakthrough as soon as Guptill was removed.

But Nicholas and Devon Conway struck a 65-run partnership as New Zealand reached triple figures. But on the right chance of victory, Hasan Mahmood ended Conway’s lethargy knock.

However, New Zealand had too many overs to get to the line and the hosts sealed the match to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series in the 22nd over.

Bangladesh, who came out to bat first, was restricted to just 131 runs in 41.5 overs based on the performance of the all-round bowling.

After the defeat of captain Tamim Iqbal in the fifth over, the visiting team started poorly. The Bangladesh captain got off to a flying start with a six on the third ball of the match. But it was Bolt who laughed and threw him in front of the stumps.

Since then the Bangladesh batsmen struggled to leave a mark as the New Zealand sewers continued to take wickets at regular intervals from both ends. Only Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim managed to cross the score of 20 runs.
