In the first one-day international, India beat West Indies by six wickets. India scored 178/4 in 28 overs to chase down a 177-run mark.

Rohit Sharma, the opener, scored 60 runs off 51 balls. meanwhile, India won the match because of an undefeated partnership by Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda.

Yuzvendra Chahal took a four-wicket haul to help India knock West Indies out for 176 in 43.5 overs at the start of the match.

57 runs from 71 balls were Jason Holder’s best effort for the visitors.

Washington Sundar took three wickets, while Prasidh Krishna took two.
