Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan hit a double century in the third one-day international match against Bangladesh.

The 24-year-old, in only his 10th ODI, showed courageous batting as he took only 126 balls to reach the milestone, breaking Chris Gayle’s record for the fastest (138 balls) double century in the format.

The small Ishan Kishan was overjoyed to set a record for the quickest double hundred in one-day international cricket history, but he lamented the fact that he was unable to become the game’s first triple centurion. Fearless batting in only his 10th ODI, the 24-year-old smashed Chris Gayle’s record for the fastest (138 balls) double century in the format by taking only 126 balls to reach the milestone. India scored an impressive 409 for eight. In the 36th over of the Indian innings, he was dismissed for 210 runs. There were 15 (14.1) overs left when I was run out. Kishan told ‘SonyLiv’ after the batting break, “I could have got 300 also.”

The left-handed batsman from Jharkhand joined an elite club, becoming only the fourth Indian batter to reach 200.

The Indian team’s current captain, Rohit Sharma, has smashed it three times, including his highest ODI total of 264. Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag have both done so once.

“I count it as a great honor to have my name mentioned alongside those of such illustrious company. We couldn’t bat on this wicket because it was too nice. He said, “My objective was pretty obvious; if the ball is there, I’ll go for it.”

Kishan credited the star India hitter with helping to “calm him down” as he was nearing his first century, which contributed to his record-breaking knock.

When I was in the middle with Virat Bhai, he gave me excellent advice on which bowlers to pick. Since it was my first hundred, he added, “Get it in singles as it’s your first.” I was on 95 and was planning to bring up the hundred with a six, but he calmed me down.

Kishan said to Kohli, “please remind me that I need to take singles,” since he didn’t want to waste the chance of a double by hitting a six off Mustafizur Rahaman’s slow cutter.

Kishan’s close friend and teammate Suryakumar Yadav has instructed him to bat first.

I spoke with Surya Bhai, and he advised me to bat first because it helps me focus on the ball. Not putting undue stress on oneself was important to me. “I just wanted to take advantage of the chance,” Kishan explained.

Kishan remarked that the wicket was excellent for making strokes and that it gave him a great opportunity to show off his powerful striking.

It was the ideal wicket for batting, in my opinion. This is an ideal position for me, too. I just wanted to keep my eye on the ball and see where things went,” he explained.

I could tell the wicket would play nicely just by looking at it. Was making an attempt to squash the stray spheres. Not only did he praise himself, but he also gave credit to his veteran colleagues and the team’s support personnel.

When there are a lot of seasoned veterans on the roster, Talks have been going on between us. When performing on the global stage, you make the most of your limited resources. The help desk staff was really helpful to me. I was only deciding on a bowling ball and a team. A favorable outcome occurred in my case. The PTI KHS/SSC KHS KHS
