India vs England: Many Indian players had a net session as the team got ready for the first Test in Chennai from Friday.
Team India finalized their preparations two days before the first Test against England in Chennai, where Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and captain Virat Kohli were seen hitting the nets as Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit. And Kohli stood in a formation for a slip catch. Bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishant Sharma and Jaspreet Bumrah also appeared in action at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The first Test will be played at the same venue starting on 5 February.
The BCCI posted on Instagram with a video showing a glimpse of India’s preparations, “The preparations for the match are being completed ahead of the first #INDvENG Test at Chepauk.
The players of the Indian contingent completed their victory on Monday and went to the ground the same evening for training.
India held their first net session on Tuesday after coach Ravi Shastri and captain Kohli addressed the team in the morning in which most of the players were participating.
India and England play a four-Test series and the first two Tests will be played in Chennai.
The second Test will be 50 percent crowded, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) confirmed on Tuesday.
The remaining two Tests will be played at the newly constructed Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The third Test of the series will be a day-night affair and will be played with pink ball.
The Test will be followed by five T20Is, all played in Ahmedabad, and three ODIs in Pune to conclude the tour in March.
