Ms Dhoni’s wife Sakshi on Monday shared a group photo on Instagram with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Dhoni, singer-actor Jassi Gill and a few other friends. Dhoni, who prefers to keep a low profile despite his massive fan following, was seen standing next to his wife as he posed for a group picture wearing an ethnic Indian dress. Dhoni wore a designer kurta and pajama with matching overcoat, while Sakshi wore a stunning baby pink lehenga.
After retiring from international cricket in August last year, Dhoni only plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he leads the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Last year’s IPL was not planned for CSK as they failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time in their history.
After a disappointing season by its high standards, the franchise released several players including Harbhajan Singh, Murali Vijay, Kedar Jadhav and Piyush Chawla as they wanted to see the tag of ‘Dad’s Army’ going into the next season.
The IPL 2021 auction is scheduled to take place on February 18 in Chennai and CSK goes to the bidding hall with Rs 22.90 crore in its kitty and there are seven player slots available with a foreign slot.
Even before the auction, the MS Dhoni-led team strengthened their batting with the batting of Rajasthan Royal veteran publicist Robin Uthappa in an all-cash deal.
