We have two games to go and this is not just about playoffs but it is to take good results. In these two games, we will do everything in order to win,” coach Csaba Laszlo said.

His side had the least goal conversion rate of 5.55, highlighting how wasteful they have been in offense. Laszlo gave an honest roundup about his team’s campaign.

“Every team has ups and downs and not every season is perfect. I think this season we had a lot of good things. But it wasn’t so fantastic and no so positive especially in offence.”

“It (North-East) will be a tough game. They have made good recruitment especially the foreigners. And in this game we see if we get the opportunity or not but our target is to win this game. Our attention is on playing successful football and scoring goals. We go into the game the way we went against Goa and this is our target,” said Laszlo, whose side hasn’t won in their last seven games.

Meanwhile, NorthEast United are unbeaten in the last six games under coach Khalid Jamil and are eyeing the playoffs.

CFC vs NEUFC  Dream11 TEAM NEWS: Injuries and Suspensions

Chennaiyin FC vs NorthEast United Team News:

Chennaiyin FC:

Chennai are misfiring at the moment and we may see some big changes in the side. Indian international Jeje Lalpekhlua looks a bit rusty at the moment but it’s unlikely that he is axed by head coach John Gregory for this particular match.

The trio of Fernandes, Augusto and Nelson is expected to be retained as well while it’s the deep-lying midfield and the back-line where we could see some changes made for this match.

Meanwhile, the Two-times ISL Champions are certainly looking for the future as they have shipped out seven young players to the I League clubs. While five of them are on loan at the AIFF’s developmental side Indian Arrows, Mohammedan Sporting and Gokulam Kerala FC. The players are; Prosenjit Chakraborty, Samik Mitra, Aimol Chongompipa Reamsochung, Baoringdao Bodo, Abhijit Sarkar, Rahim Ali and Deepak Tangri. These players are certainly not going to play.

NorthEast United:

The visitors don’t have any issues in this department. After two good results. Head coach Eelco Schattorie may not tweak with his side for this match. In particular, Rowlin Borges, Federico Gallego and Bartholomew Ogbeche should be untouchable after putting in remarkable performance so far.

  • Anirudh Thapa, who is an Indian midfielder. He became the first player to win the AIFF’s emerging player of the year award twice. In his central midfield position, Thapa is excellent at breaking down the lines of defence with his precise passing, and also pops up with a goal from time to time. His curler from outside the box against FC Goa last season is still fresh in the memory of many fans. More of the same is expected from him this season.
  • Memo Moura, who is one of the most consistent midfielders of ISL in the last four seasons. He joined the team upon the expiration of his contract at Jamshedpur FC after three years, and the 32-year-old Brazilian will bring steel and resolve in central midfield. He didn’t miss a single game for Jamshedpur FC in the 3 seasons, he spent there, and finished the 2018-19 ISL season.

  • Luis Machado, who is a forward player. The Highlander faithful had a lot of hopes on the Portuguese winger, will add quality to the attack.
  • Kwesi Appiah, who is a forward player. Bullied the Mumbai City defense right from the word go and also scored NorthEast United’s first goal of the season from the penalty spot.
  • Idrissa Sylla, who is forward player. He was introduced into the game to kill time but he did show glimpses of his class with some brilliant touches and turns.
  • Benjamin Lambot, who is a defender player. He showed his class today with his impeccable timing and interception. He was one of the main reasons why NorthEast United won the previous match of ISL-2020-21.
