Bangladesh’s younger players didn’t want to miss out on the chance to learn from the touring stars while the senior men’s team was getting valuable experience against a strong Indian opponent.

India’s national team is now in Bangladesh for a visit. The away team is in the driver’s seat after dropping the one-day international series 1-2, but they were defeated in the first of two Tests. At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, the second game has started. Not only are the senior men’s squad of Bangladesh benefiting from playing against a strong Indian side, but the younger players on the team have also taken advantage of the chance to learn from the touring stars. On Wednesday, India’s Virat Kohli, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, and spinner Kuldeep Yadav met with Bangladesh’s under-19 team.

Afterward, images of the meeting were released by the BCCI, India’s governing cricket body. Find it here:

In the current Test series against Bangladesh, Virat Kohli has not yet reached a significant score. He made the transition to the longer format on the strength of his century from the final one-day international. After reaching this milestone, Kohli became the only second batter in international cricket history to have struck 72 hundred, surpassing Ricky Ponting in the process. Sachin Tendulkar of India, who is considered a cricketing great, is the only player to ever score 100 tonnes in an international competition.

In the first innings of the first Test against Bangladesh, southpaw Rishabh Pant made 46 runs off of 45 balls, but he did not get to play again.

However, Kuldeep Yadav’s 8 for 113 from the first game included a five-for in the opening inning. But he didn’t make the team for the second Test in Mirpur.
