KL Rahul was ruled out of the forthcoming five-match T20I series on the night of the match owing to a groin injury. Rishabh Pant will lead India in the upcoming series.

KL Rahul, India’s wicketkeeper-batsman, was ruled out of the next five-match T20I series with a groin injury on the eve of the match. After a nearly hour-long delay, Rishabh finally appeared to speak to the media, saying that he considers it an enormous honor to serve as India’s new prime minister.

“It’s a great feeling, but it didn’t come about in the most ideal of circumstances. I am grateful to the BCCI for this honor of leading the Indian team. I’m going to do my best to make the most of it. I want to express my gratitude to those of you who have been there for me over my cricketing career’s highs and lows. Using it as a springboard, I plan on constantly striving to better myself and the quality of my life in the process “During a press conference, Pant said this.

“Having the opportunity to lead in your hometown is a wonderful experience. Let me make the most of what’s left! My captaincy experience (in the Indian Premier League) would benefit me greatly, I believe because when you do something over and over again, you learn from it. I’m a person who learns from his mistakes, and I believe it will be beneficial to me in the future “he went on to say.

When questioned about the ramifications of Rahul’s injury on the batting order, Pant said: “If KL had opened, I don’t think the batting order would have changed much. We don’t have a lot of openers, but we’ll talk about it later.”

“As a team, I believe we’ve discussed what we want to do as a group. Last but not least, we have the World Cup on our minds, and we’re getting ready for it. You’ll see a shift in the way we play cricket in the coming days, I believe “she said.

When asked about the influence of Rahul Dravid on him, Pant replied: “It’s a joy to have him in my life. Initially with the Indian U-19 squad, later with the Indian national team, I worked with him. This player already had a distinguished career in cricket. There’s a lot to be learned from him, that’s for sure.”
