Chief medical officer Abhijit Salvi has resigned from the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

On November 30, BCCI CMO Abhijit Salvi announced his notice period had expired, although he stayed on until the conclusion of the second Test between India and New Zealand on December 7.

It has been announced that BCCI’s chief medical officer Abhijit Salvi has resigned owing to personal circumstances. It was Salvi’s notice time that ran out on November 30 but he continued to play till the end of the second Test between India and New Zealand on December 7 notwithstanding that fact. In the COVID era, regular testing and bubble life became an integral aspect of international cricket, making his function more important.

“To the BCCI, I’d like to express my gratitude for this chance. I was ready to leave the company after ten years of service. COVID times had made it a 24-hour job, and I’d like to devote some of that time to spend it with my family “Salvi made the comment.

Age verification, anti-doping, and medical wing were Salvi’s responsibilities at BCCI. Prior to the Vijay Merchant Trophy, the national tournament for U-16 boys, he has resigned.

Traveling with the Indian squad to Australia and Sri Lanka necessitated that Salvi accompanies the Indians. Also in charge of IPL and T20 World Cup medical arrangements were two seasons of IPL, as well as the T20 World Cup in the UAE.
