India Legends defeated South Africa Legends by a score of 61 runs in the opening match of the tournament. Sachin led the team to victory. India scored 217/4 in 20 overs while batting first thanks to Stuart Binny’s unbeaten 82-run performance off just 24 balls. In his opening innings, Sachin only managed to score 16 runs, but his lofted hit in the fourth over of the innings has supporters in a frenzy.

The ball was in Makhaya Ntini’s grasp when Sachin lofted him toward the long-on boundary fence, sending the ball hurtling in that direction. The moment he made the shot, the Kanpur stadium’s crowd exploded in celebration.

In the sixth over of the innings, Makhaya Ntini eventually got rid of Sachin, who had only managed to accrue 16 points.
