Boucher commented on the IPL totals, saying they would show par scores for the T20 World Cup

When he thought about the IPL possibly wearing out the pitches for the World T20, Boucher was worried.

In 2021, and as part of the T20 World Cup 2021, the 2021 IPL season and an unknown percentage of the 2021 T20 World Cup will be played in the UAE.

Mark Boucher, coach of the South Africa cricket team, said the pitches will be “a bit dry” and spinners will be “crucial” in the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE, which are both events that will be completed in the UAE.

Due to the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League being held in the United Arab Emirates, the playing surfaces are expected to be exhausted, which will help the spinners “massively” in the ICC T20 World Cup this year. South Africa head coach Mark Boucher anticipates this to be the case. IPL 2021, which was put on hold as a result of the COVID-19 cases found inside the bio-bubble, will be completed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which will also host the ICC’s next T20 World Cup after the International Cricket Council decided to relocate the event because of the unprecedented health crisis.

While the first portion of the IPL (October 15 to September 19) will take place, the tournament will then move on to the second leg, which will begin on October 17.

Said Boucher, in an ESPNcricinfo interview: “The Wickets after the IPL will be a bit drier. They aren’t as slick as they are in South Africa, where you can smash the ball to all parts of the ballpark for 180 to 200 runs. You’ve got to have good skills and intelligence here; you’ve got to know what you’re doing.”

Not a lot of grounds and those wickets are going to be worn, so scores will probably go even further down.

Boucher noted that spinners will play a critical role on these pitches since spin will hold the key.

“It will be very difficult to score since we had problems doing so at the end,” said the South African.

After watching the IPL, we will have an idea of how the scores will go for the World Cup by observing how the wickets are playing early on in the tournament.

I’m certain that spinners will be an essential part of the game.

South Africa defeated the West Indies 3-2 in a five-match T20I series held at the National Cricket Stadium in St. George’s, Grenada, with left-arm wrist spinner Tabraiz Shamsi taking seven wickets.
