On December 23rd, an auction for IPL 2023 teams will be held.

There will be an auction for 405 players in 2023’s Indian Premier League in the hopes that one of them will land on one of the ten teams in the league’s lucrative franchise system.

On December 23 in Kochi, India, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 mini-auction will take place. There are 405 players that will be up for grabs at the auction, all hoping to land on one of the ten teams in this lucrative competition. From an initial pool of 991, 369 candidates were eventually chosen to fill the remaining 87 places. However, at the clubs’ requests, the final rosters were expanded by thirty-six players. At the end of November, all 10 teams confirmed the players they would be keeping and those they would be releasing.

Just 273 are native Indians, while 132 are foreigners, including 4 from partner nations. There are 119 players with international caps, 282 without, and 4 from associate countries.

As of right now, there are a total of 87 openings, with as many as 30 reserved for players from outside of the United States.

The highest reserve price is INR 2 crore, where 19 international players have placed themselves.

There are a total of eleven players up for auction, with a starting bid of INR 1.5 crore. Among the twenty cricketers with a starting price of INR 1 crore, only two are Indian: Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal.

As of 14:30 IST, the auction will begin.
