Players like Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, and Nicholas Pooran of the West Indies have signed up for the first season of the International League T20 in the United Arab Emirates (ILT20). On Thursday, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced the latest group of extraordinary, well-known cricketers who have signed on to compete in the first International League T20 (ILT20). The league has strengthened its roster by adding more outstanding names to its list of Marquee Players, which already included some of the greatest names in global T20 cricket.

Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Dwayne Bravo, Dasun Shanaka, Ollie Pope, and Fazalhaq Farooqi have all just been included in this list of cricket greats.

Mubashshir Usmani, the General Secretary of Emirates Cricket, commented on the newest group of players to join the League “Our group is continually blown away by the kind of talent that is set on competing in the ILT20. As evidenced by our most recent announcement, we are thrilled to see the list of Marquee players continue to grow in size, and we are thrilled to see fresh, young talent join such illustrious names from the world of cricket.”

Will Smeed, Rehan Ahmed, Jordan Thompson, Sheldon Cottrell, Andre Fletcher, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Bas de Leede, Chris Benjamin, and Bilal Khan are among the players who have just been revealed.

With multi-year ICC sanction, the inaugural ILT20 will begin to play in January (2023) with a 34-match schedule spread among the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) exceptional, world-class Cricket venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. Reliance Industries, Kolkata Knight Riders, Capri Global, GMR, Lancer Capital, and Adani Sportsline are just some of the franchise owners.

In June, the Emirates Cricket Board set January 6th through February 12th, 2023 as the dates for the first season of the International League T20 (ILT20) League.

UAE-based players currently integrated with the board’s program and those identified by the high-performance coaching and selection committee teams will be given the opportunity to train and play alongside some of the world’s best minds of today’s game, making the tournament a valuable platform for Emirates Cricket to take developing their local talent to a higher level.
