The Indian Premier League’s defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) unveiled their new uniform on Sunday. Franchise’s official Twitter account posted a photo of the new jersey online. Andre Russell, the franchise’s premier all-rounder, and emerging Indian players like Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer are featured in the jersey reveal. The squad has stuck with its traditional purple and gold uniforms.

On April 1 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the Kolkata Knight Riders will open their Indian Premier League 2023 campaign against the Punjab Kings.
They will face off against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their maiden home encounter on April 6 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
With 6 wins, 8 losses, and 12 points in 14 games last season, KKR finished in seventh place in the points standings. They were eliminated from postseason contention.
The 22-man roster of the Kolkata Knight Riders (Overseas 8)
INR 1.50 cr for Shakib Al Hasan, INR 90 cr for N. Jagadeesan, INR 60 cr for Vaibhav Arora, INR 20 cr for Suyash Sharma, INR 1 cr for David Wiese, INR 20 cr for Kulwant Khejroliya, INR 50 cr for Litton Das, and INR 50 cr for Mandeep Singh were all spent at the IPL 2023 auction (INR 50 lakh).
All of these players, plus Shreyas Iyer (c), Nitish Rana, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Venkatesh Iyer, Andre Russell, Tim Southee, Sunil Narine, Shardul Thakur, Lockie Ferguson, Umesh Yadav, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, Anukul Roy, and Rinku Singh, will be returning for the IPL 2023 auction.
