India's cricket team takes face New Zealand.

According to the former Indian cricket team opener, Hardik Pandya would lead the T20I squad but a new captain may lead the ODI squad.

Aakash Chopra, a former opener for the Indian cricket team, stated on Friday that Rohit Sharma will likely remain captain till the World Test Championship in 2023, but that a change in the ODI captaincy is likely to occur after the World Cup this year. Chopra recently stated that Hardik Pandya will likely captain India at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, but that he will not be awarded the ODI captaincy. Chopra suggested Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant as possible successors to Rohit as India’s ODI captain.

In my opinion, the time for a universal captain across all formats is passed. Until the World T20, Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the Test team as captain “Chopra made the statement on Jio Cinema.

“Hardik Pandya is the current T20 captain, and I expect him to retain that role going forward. Pandya will lead India at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. As the World Cup approaches, Rohit Sharma will maintain his position as captain in One Day Internationals. But in the long run, I predict that Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant will lead India. He went on to say that these two men were his top picks to lead India in the future.

Team India’s T20I series versus New Zealand is presently being led by Pandya because Rohit Sharma is out with an injury.
