Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag has scored just 17 runs in three IPL 2022 matches.

RCB halted the Rajasthan Royals’ momentum after a strong start to the season in which they had won their first two matches by a landslide.

After a strong start to the season, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) were defeated by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their most recent encounter, which ended their winning streak. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are now on a three-match winning streak, so skipper Sanju Samson and the rest of the team would be pleased with their progress thus far. They beat SunRisers Hyderabad by 61 runs and then beat Mumbai Indians by 23 runs in their first two matches.

Even against RCB, they were well-positioned, but the Faf du Plessis-led team was saved by some magnificent batting by Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik in the latter stages.

Riyan Parag’s season has been a complete disaster, and his place in the starting lineup is in jeopardy.

The following is RR’s anticipated starting XI for their match against LSG:

In the words of Jos Buttler: In the race for the Orange Cap, the English swashbuckler has a commanding lead after scoring 100 and 70 not out in RR’s most recent two encounters. Buttler will be crucial for RR in their matchup with LSG.

Rajasthan has kept Yashasvi Jaiswal, a promising kid, although he has yet to establish himself in the league. Although they are likely to support him if he succeeds,

At No.3, Devdutt Padikkal is taking on a new role and making an impact, but he’d like to play a bigger role in the game soon.

It’s still too early for Sanju Samson to make an impact in this year’s IPL despite his half-century and a solid performance against Mumbai Indians. LSG will be on the lookout for him because he’s about to take a major hit from him.

To keep up their momentum at the end of innings, RR will be hoping that Shimron Hetmyer, the West Indies’ left-handed batsman, can keep up his excellent form.

New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham might replace Riyan Parag, who has yet to play for RR this year. He has the ability to hit big shots at the end of games and bowl a few overs.

This season, Ravichandran Ashwin has been in excellent form for India, and RR is hoping he can keep stifling opponents for runs.

Navdeep Saini, a former RCB bowler, has taken three wickets in two matches for Rajasthan thus far and is expected to continue his career in the Indian Premier League.

New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult has performed admirably thus far, taking five wickets in three matches for Rajasthan.

Yuzvendra Chahal has been RR’s standout bowler thus far, and he will be crucial in facing LSG’s in-form middle order.

As evidenced by his 0/40 and 1/37 stats in his last two outings, Prasidh Krishna may be costly, but if he has a good day, he can blow the opponents away, and that is what RR is it is depending on.
