After social media was awash with messages about his supposed “divorce” from wife Dhanashree Verma, Yuzvendra Chahal begged his followers last week to not accept rumours about his marital life.

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma created a comical and charming video, which the latter published on Instagram on Tuesday, just days after they clarified their relationship status amid rumours of separation. Dhanashree could be seen in the video performing a voice-over that reads, “Ek mahine ke liye maike jaa rahi hoon, suno. (Listen. I’ll be spending a month at my mother’s house).” In response, Chahal, who had been watching TV, threw the remote and began dancing to a Bollywood tune. Dhanashree, on the other hand, begins grinning as well in response to Chahal’s dance.

As soon as the couple denied the divorce rumours, they shared their first reel, which was well received by fans.

Here is the reel to view:

Dhanashree previously came out against those who were making up stories about her relationship with Chahal. She posted a lengthy message on Instagram. She discussed the “baseless rumors” around her life. Dhanashree continued by stating that the “strange news” regarding Chahal and her relationship was “hateful and painful.”

However, as social media was flooded with articles about his apparent “divorce” from wife Dhanashree Verma, Chahal pleaded with his fans last week to not trust rumours about his marital status. Chahal posted a story on Instagram “I humbly ask that you all refrain from believing any form of rumours about our relationship. Please put a stop to it. Light and love to all.”
