Rishabh Pant scored a century for England against India at Old Trafford.

In the England-India match, Rishabh Pant presented Ravi Shastri with his ‘Player of the Match’ award.

Unbeaten century Rishabh Pant, who helped India beat England by five wickets in the third one-day international at Old Trafford, Manchester, was awarded Player of the Match. At 21/2, Pant came into bat for India and smashed an impressive 125* to help the team reach the 260-run mark with eight overs to spare. To celebrate his “Player of the Match” award, the 24-year-old was seen rushing over to former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri and handing him the champagne bottle.

Before returning to his teammates, Pant was spotted chit-chatting with Shastri and then presenting him with the bottle.

Pummeling Sharma with champagne even during the team’s post-match party was Pant. Both Shikhar Dhawan and Arshdeep Singh were seen on camera running away from Virat Kohli as well.

Pant, of course, has a long history with India under Ravi Shastri.

After the T20 World Cup in 2021, Shastri’s contract expired and he was replaced by Rahul Dravid.

Hardik Pandya’s excellent performance with the ball helped India bowl England out for 259 in the series finale.

Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma were both bowled for ducks in the opening five overs, putting India in peril from the get-go.

Neither Virat Kohli nor Suryakumar Yadav lasted long with the Indian team.

India was in trouble at 72/4 when Pant and Hardik put up an incredible partnership of 133 runs to save their team and lift them to a dominating position.

With Ravindra Jadeja as his partner, Pant scored a century after Hardik fell for 71.

When David Willey bowled the 42nd over, Pant smashed five consecutive boundaries off him before reverse-sweeping Joe Root with the first ball of the next over to send India home with ease.
