Following the tragic vehicle accident involving Rishabh Pant, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has issued an update on his condition.

On Friday, Rishabh Pant, an Indian cricketer, was seriously injured after his automobile crashed into a median on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. Pant, originally from Roorkee, is currently being treated at the Max Hospital in Dehradun. The government of Uttarakhand, according to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, will pay for all of Pant’s medical care. Following the tragic vehicle accident, Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has released an update on Pant.

Jay Shah tweeted that Pant is doing well and getting scans. He further disclosed that he had spoken with the player’s loved ones and the medical staff treating him.

Rishabh Pant is being treated for a minor injury to his waist, according to Dr. Ashish Yagnik of Max Hospital. In addition, he disclosed that the player is safe and alert.

Pant had a role in India’s recent 2-0 Test series victory over Bangladesh. With scores of 46 and 93, he had already made an impression.

He had been expected to join the National Cricket Academy’s strength and conditioning training in preparation for February’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against Australia but was instead left off the T20I team announced for the series against Sri Lanka.

Pant had spent Christmas with former India captain MS Dhoni and his family in Dubai, and Dhoni’s wife Sakshi posted images of the celebration online.
